ABOUT SING MERAKI
'Meraki (pronunciation: merak-kee) is a Greek adjective that describes doing something with soul, creativity, love and passion'
~ it is something we strive to do in abundance.
Sing Meraki brings people together to sing in circle and explore their beautiful, unique, non autotuned, Natural Voice in all its glory. Come and join our warm, friendly, fun, community where everyone is welcome equally, exactly as you are.
Take an hour out of your week, connect with yourself and others. No previous experience necessary, just an enjoyment of singing. Learn joyful, fun harmony by ear, sing as part of our friendly community ~ Nobody sings alone.
All voices are welcome and we welcome you just as you are.
As a Natural voice practitioner, I deeply believe that singing is for everyone and people should be able to express themselves by connecting with their voices. Singing has long bonded communities in celebration, grief and ritual for hundreds if not thousands of years. However, with our ‘modern’ ways of life and the way we meet and communicate, these birth rites are being lost generation at a time.
The benefits of singing for health, wellbeing and bonding are becoming far more widely understood, as are the benefits of singing for improved mental health for everyone.

Bring your Babies, your Mothers, your Aunties or come along on your own. All women are welcome to join this friendly, supportive group. It is a space for grown-ups to sing and babies to absorb the wonderful sounds. Toys are provided so your baby can have some tummy time, and you are of course able to meet your babies needs however is needed throughout the session. Often babies will calm and relax as we get singing, and as they explore their world inside the singing circle. We sing for 1hr and then have the chance for a cup of tea, a biscuit and a catch up. The exchange for these sessions are £7 and payable half termly with your first session free. So come along and join us, we’d love to meet you.

Please note that the surface is uneven so do take care. The hall is accessable for buggy and wheel chair users, with no steps to negotiate. Unfortunately there are no specific disabled facilites or baby changing facillities on site.
